I attended my first home GT basketball game this season, and sadly it is the only home basketball game Tech has lost this season. Coincidence? I hope so, because I want to go to another.

Did some house shopping on the north side of Atlanta. We are trying to balance out all the variables that contribute to the perfect house. Would we rather have a better house, or better location, etc. We are both so analytical there are a lot of factors to consider. :-) Chrissy has two job offers already on the northside, but they are probably 40 minutes apart.

Lastly, a super Wal-Mart opened in Columbus recently. They already had a regular one, but they didn't sell groceries. Grocery prices are much higher hear than shopping (at Kroger) at either of my parent's house. We enjoyed the new low price option, and hope that forces prices down around town. It was a long wait, but I believe it is due to the new opening.

Tomorrow I start my first 5 day work week since the week before Christmas. What a rough life. :-)

Had a good weekend, starting with a work event playing Whirlyball. It's like bumper cars and lacrosse combined. The food was bad, but the game was great. I didn't know many of the people there, but that didn't stop me from having a good time.

Friday night was singing and playing piano with Randy and Lauren and company. It was good to see R and L, and Chris and Ray. Through the comments of the evening we learned we were clearly in the minority in terms of politics.

Saturday, we taught Carter and Kent two new games: Set and Power Grid. Good times. Carter says he doesn't like learning new games anymore. I'm actually quite tired of Settlers of Catan, and even somewhat of Puerto Rico.

Last night Tech lost to UNC, but at least we had beat Duke and FSU before that. I hope Tech makes the NCAAs despite our young team. Right now the analysts say yes, but we shall see.

Had a great weekend in Houston. I watched my beautiful bride run her first marathon, the Houston Chevron Marathon. She finished in a little over 4 hours, which was quite impressive. She is sore, but otherwise doing fine.

We ate at Nit Noi in Rice village, Escalante's for some great Tex Mex, and stayed with Liz. We got to see Bing, Michael from work, Sarah G came and did some carbo loading with us the night before. We got to meet the elusive Jose, who is very nice. I learned he was a MIT guy. He was amused that we all had a good experience at GT, since most of his peers didn't have a good time at MIT.

Sarah complained about my irregular blogging, so here I post. :-)

We taught Set, and learned two new domino games. My co-worker, an Aggie grad, taught us to play 42. It is a big Texas A&M game, and I thought it was fine but am not craving to play it again.

It is nice to have a day off.
