Bruster's is offering free waffle cones on Saturday and Sunday if you show up to the store in your PJs. Those waffle cones are like the size of your head! I'll find one Bruster's for Saturday, and one for Sunday. :-) Now I just have to think about which two flavors. I'm leaning towards Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, and Turtle. I heart ice cream.

My sister Sarah got married this weekend. Congrats to her! It was a beautiful ceremony, and good to see lots of family and friends in town. Welcome to the family, Pablo! Chrissy and I managed some last minute fires, but everything went off fine. Chris B was in the area, and he came by and took photos for us. Thanks Chris! There was lots of Spanish speaking, as Pablo is from Chile. His family came up, so we had a bit of a language barrier. They were very friendly, but they operate on "South American time".

We had a casual post party at the house, and we were exhausted. We watched the TiVo'd GT vs UVA basketball game. GT should have won, leading by 5 points with three minutes left. We have to play UNC, and then Boston College. We need another win or two to make the NCAA tourney.

My dad and a friend Pete went to the Tech basketball game together last night, as they did every home game all season. They've been going together for several seasons now, and my dad found out today that Pete died of a heart attack this morning. He had high blood pressure, but this is definitely a surprise. It is just a reminder of how fragile life is. Also, it is scary to think that although Pete was out of shape and a couple of years older than my dad, that he was in better shape than my dad. If anyone had seen the two of them walking together last night, and you had said, "Which one of those two will have a heart attack and die tomorrow?" most everyone would have said my dad. You can only hope it is a wake up call to change your life.

Pete was a good man, and I'm sad to see him go.
